WA Police Force Recruit Graduation - Official Portrait | January 8th 2026
Ceremony Photographer | Official portraits were taken for 57 graduating recruits of Silver and Bronze Squad.
Images were taken in the Academy Chapel of the Joondalup Police Academy, to serve as their official portrait as officers of the Western Australia Police Force. RAW images captured at 9504x6336 were retouched to increase vibrancy of colour on the walls, combining two Lightroom passes into the final image.

WA Police Force Recruit Graduation - Squad Portrait | April 23rd 2026
Ceremony Photographer | At the end of the ceremony, Silver and Bronze Squad each gathered for their official Squad Photo with Commissioner Col BLANCH APM and the Hon. Reece WHITBY MLA, Western Australian Minister for Police; Road Safety; Tourism; Great Southern.
Standard practice involves setting up battery powered Nanlite Lumipad LED lights for quick deployment, as the portraits are taken in the very limited window of time after the ceremony concludes, amongst families and friends celebrating on the Parade Ground. As my schedule is demanding on the day, responsibility to prep and setup squad photo lights is delegated to Facilities & Events. For this event, Facilities forgot to charge one of two lights until I reminded them one hour before the ceremony commenced. With only one operating light, original RAW shows darkened left side of squad. I edited the images in Lightroom and Photoshop, taking advantage of the Sony A7R IV’s impressive dynamic range to lift the unlit side without affecting image quality or creating noticeable noise, and combined both images. Lighting issue no longer noticeable in final portrait.

‘Run 4 BLUE’ Charity Event for Police Legacy | May 8th 2026
Event Photographer | Captured photos for event, including candids and entertaining moments from the day. Crowd standing in shadow beneath Parade Ground overhang resulted in difficulties with exposure settings. Adjusted Shadows, Whites, Blacks and Contrast to bring blown out foreground and darker background into line, then increased Luminance and Saturation of skin tone so crowd and hair highlights popped against background.
Image was selected by Media and Content branch for use in From the Line No. 1079, an internal publication for the organisation.

‘Lady Macbeth Played Wing Defence’ Cast Photo | Adelaide Fringe Festival (2025)
Photographer | Captured cast photo at request of client in front of scrim banner promoting show at festival. Image was taken at sunset, immediately before closing night performance, requiring efficient organisation and workflow despite large number of subjects. Final product is a composite from two close-up images taken with a 70-200mm lens for greater detail, then stitched together using Photoshop’s Photomerge tool to hide the seam. Process produced extremely high resolution 11,232 x 7488 image to work with, preferable to taking a single shot at 5616 x 3744, which would have resulted in a considerably lower resolution after the required crop for the unusually wide image. Adjusted shades of pink for banner and costumes to ensure consistency with client’s other marketing material. Supplied image to client, which was subsequently featured prominently on client’s website.
The smash-hit original Australian musical from Perth-based theatre company Crash Theatre Co. has won multiple accolades across a national tour of Australia. Winner of the House of Oz Purse Prize at the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2025, the production had its debut season at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2025, where it had to add extra shows due to demand.
